History

Bittersweeted really came into being after my old graphics site, Transfigure (which was a large site based around Harry Potter and provided all types of graphics imaginable, from layouts to neopets to stationary) went on a long hiatus due to me being on holiday. After I got back, I discovered Harry Potter wasn't my sole interest any more, and I wanted a site that allowed me more freedom with what I make. Also, I got tired of making suh a wide range of graphics that I had trouble adding to, as there was so much to do.

I had toyed around with the idea of a 'romantic' graphics site based around couples and shipping before, but I decided to extended a little bit more, to cover all things considered romantic (not just in the boy-girl sense, but including things like beautiful scenery, striking images, gratifying stories and uplifting music)

Past Layouts

Version 1

This layout began with only a blend. Truthfully, I couldn't be bothered making a layout from scratch, so I used a blend that I'd recently made. BUT, after I thought of incorporating the picture frame and crinkled paper into the layout, it really began to work. The CSS and coding took me forever because I was trying to make it work in Firefox 3 and IE 7...and because- well such an indecisive person like me should not be given over millions of web colours to choose from =_= Overall, I decided to like this layout in the end, as it was a nice change from the normal 'centre aligned' table I use.

Transfigure History

The history of Transfigure? Well its not much actually...I've been web designing for about 1 year and a half, obsessive about Harry Potter for about 5 years, and One day a random idea just suddenly popped into my head about making a graphics site dedicate solely to Harry Potter. I had originally planned to start a texutre site but my love for Harry Potter over came that and I started furiously working on Transfigure in order to get it done in time to move in with a host. So yeah..I suppose that's it..the (not so) grand history of this site. ^.~

Version 5

This was my last layout for Transfigure, and I must say I really liked it. It had the 'professional' air that I was looking for, as well as a sort of 'grand' feeling...I stopped naming my layouts, but if I could name this one, it'd be called 'The Harry Potter Revolution' which was how I saw it xD May our favourite bespeckled wizard live on forever more in the hearts of millions :D

Version 4

Argh, I can't remember how long I worked on this layout...weeks ^-^; I just couldn't decide on every little thing. I used alot of new techniques, but everything- brushes, textures etc. were all made by me. I think the thing that killed it was the colour- the colour scheme was too presistant- there was no other colour than green...xD; However, I LOVE the quote in this layout..."Dumbledore's man through and through...that's right."

Version 3

This was a tricky layout ^-^; When I made it, it changed about a dozen times, and turned out completely different to my original intention. I also had a spot of trouble with the coding, but in the end I really loved it. NOw however..well I really don't like it XD; Its much too...not clean? I dunno, but still, I guess its just alright?

Version 2

I luff this layout! <3 It didn't quite turn out the way I wanted (which was blue, white and grey, very simple and mysterious XD;) BUT, I really like it this way too. The only thing that I'm not sure about is the fact that it might look too- well 'girly', ya know what I mean? Harry Potter is pretty much a both gender thing, so I didn't want it to be one-sided. Still, its a very lovable layout, and a prefect version 2.

Version 1

I made this layout within the hour, and I just adore it ^__^ I used one of the first textures I ever made on it, and the colours turned out really nicely, but not what I originally had planned. Even so...I can't help but love it to bits >;D This was also my first non-iframe layout believe it or not...! >XD
